Savannah Del Mar represents the romantic world of Hunger — the music of Beata and Robbie falling in love. Twice in the novel, music becomes part of their story as they dance together to beautiful slow songs. On their first real date, and later on the edge of a crowded disco dance floor, they become lost in each other and, for a moment, forget the world around them.
